The other day I decided to "kill two birds with one stone". Geddy really wanted to go to the playground and I need exercise so I walked over to the Peeteetneet School (not used as such anymore). It is about a half mile to three quarters of a mile each way. They have a small playground with swings, slides and climbing things. We went early so it wasn't too hot and Geddy had the whole place to himself for about an hour. Once other kids started showing up he got a bit possessive of the slide so I decided it was time to head home. He was pretty unhappy about this decision. However, I told him I would bring him again so he said "bye" to all the things he had fun on and was okay with leaving. He was also consoled by the fact that he got to see a horse up close and personal a few blocks from home. He is so agile and fearless on the play structure. I kept thinking he's too little to be this independent on such a big thing. Unfortunately I was unable to get pictures or video of him on the swing. I kind of had to hang on to him for those, they are just too high off the ground.
You don't need sound on this one, you'll just here me telling him to be careful and wait to go down the slide until I am in position. But the next video you definitely need sound as it is quite pointless without.
And to conclude this entry an adorable picture of my two "babies". After the park we came home and had Popsicles outside. Then after changing Geddy he wanted to kiss Spanky so I thought I better snap a picture if I could. I didn't quite get the kiss, but the picture is still cute.

Wow! I love the picture with Spanky and G...that is fantastic! Also, the vid of G banging on the "drums" is hilarious...is he singing something about "Ironman" or is that just my imagination? ( ;
