Geddy's Class at the Zoo

I just realized it has been awhile since I have updated this blog and I am atrociously behind. So here are some pictures from Geddy's First Grade trip to the zoo. All three classes went plus so many parents that I was only responsible for my own kid. Which was kind of nice. We tried to hook up with some of his friends groups, but that only happened here and there as typical six-year-olds they were bouncing from place to place, so hyper just to be out of school for the day.
The wolves are always fun to see because they are usually hidden in their little forest.

It was a cool and rainy day so most of the animals were active.

While most kids were content sitting on the back of this big kitty, Geddy had to stand on its head.

In all my times of going to this zoo I had never seen this cat out and about. It was seriously hunting something, I think it was a bird.
A grumpy little thing though and apparently quite vicious.

The tiger got quite close for a second.
Then decided nap time was more important.
Ready for lunch though we had only been there about  15 minutes.

Geddy and his friend, Sage.
Again, has to be on the statue's head....
Newest addition to the zoo. A smart-aleck polar bear.
He would do this underwater.
Then he would burst out of the water right up against the glass. The kids thought it was hilarious. Okay, who am I kidding, everyone thought it was hilarious. That creature had such an attitude!

Geddy called this big boy, Jabba.
Geddy in an eagle's nest.

This peacock put on quite a show for us. We saw it open up it's feathers....
Then it pranced around in a circle for several minutes before putting its feathers back down.
Love the hairstyle!

Gotta love the little wildcats that look just like regular house cats.
Geddy's favorites, the bat-eared foxes.

And the fruit bats are pretty cool.

Checking the map to make sure we were seeing everything,

Map-reading with his friend Dylan.
