Download Complete - FINALLY!!!1

Sorry for the blog drought. Our computer is old, the camera's battery is difficult and so transfer from camera to computer is a painful process that must be attempted numerous times before successfully happening. We have done a few fun things this past month. There are tons of pictures that will hopefully tell most the story.

Memorial Day we took a picnic to the city park and just relaxed. It was very nice and I didn't take many pictures.
Scott was out of town the first weekend in June so Geddy and I decided to head to the Utah Lake Festival. It is sad I know, but in the 17 years I have been in Utah, I have only been to Utah Lake one other time. I just kind of forget that it is there, just a few minutes drive away. Geddy was excited especially when I mentioned cotton candy and hot dogs.
We stopped at Payson Market on the way to get some water to take with us. That delayed us a bit as they were having a Kids Safety Fair. Geddy got to see and climb in an ambulance, fire truck and police car. There was also a coloring station, cookie decorating table and a bounce house. And snow cones for 50 cents. Once he saw those he just had to have one.

We were getting ready to leave when they told us a Emergency Response Helicopter was going to be landing in the parking lot soon. So we waited in the car right by where it was going to land and enjoyed our snow cone.
Boy, did our car bounce and rock around on its wheels when that helicopter landed!
Geddy got to sit in the back and look in the pilot's window.
He thought standing on the edge was the coolest part. He kept thanking the people that were on it saying he had never seen a helicopter so close before.
Finally made it to the Utah Lake Festival and his cotton candy. We were a bit late so missed the boat ride, the hot dogs, the fishing, the face painting, etc. But we did do a lot. There were just so many people that the lines were ridiculously long. We waited in line for a balloon animal for half an hour. But the cat is still alive and looks really cool. I didn't take anymore pictures at the festival because my hands were full of all the little stuff he was getting. It was definitely a fun event and I hope the whole family can attend next year. Now I know we have to be there at the beginning to be able to do everything.
Modeling a very cool shark hat from the library Summer Make and Take Crafts. Unfortunately we are hardly ever able to actually be there to do it, but thanks to my "in" at the library we usually still can get the stuff and make it at home. Or as in this case, we get one of their samples. Thanks so much Lyndi and Chantelle! Geddy has loved every single craft! Just a side note: in the second picture Geddy is holding a cute little yellow dog. That is my Dog-Dog that I believe I got when I was 1 or 2. It is in amazing condition for how old it is, and it is one of the few stuffed animals Geddy actually plays nicely with:)
We got a bit more creative with another pirate costume for him. He wanted a bandanna for his head so I thought one of his old cloth diapers (used as burp cloth and nose wiper, not actually diaper) would work great. Then he needed one as a belt and a sash to hold his array of weapons. Add the eye patch, hook, and toucan (sorry no parrot) and what an adorable pirate I have.
We decided to make cookie lollipops. Geddy loves helping me in the kitchen! His favorite part being the sampling of anything and everything!
The last picture is kind of bad - caught Geddy in mid-blink - but you can kind of see the cookie lollipops we made.

Last Friday we had a Primary Activity, the first one Geddy has actually been able to go to. He had a blast with all of his friends, but the cupcake part was really his favorite. They decorated cupcakes like ladybugs, M&M's for spots, chocolate chips for eyes, and black licorice for antenna.

He really does eat more than junk food. He actually eats really well. I guess it's just more fun to take pictures of the junk food than regular food! He is quite healthy in fact we just measured him and he is just under 43 inches tall and 40 pounds of muscle!

Geddy has great, involved parents!! It's fun to see all the things you do as a family.

Look at that chocolatey face! Heehee! You have done so many fun things with him; what a good mom! And your cookie pops were delicious--thank you so much! I love that Geddy has a toy you had when you were little; that's really cool. I have some old toys saved at home and it will be fun to see my kids get to play with them someday!
Fun, wonderful pictures! Love the new blog background, too!
