Christmas 2014

We opened our presents we had received already on Sunday the 21st as we were heading out of town the following day.

He loves his new basketball from Uncle Ken and Aunt Liliana. His league starts January 10th, so he is quite excited to start using it.

Listening to a book from Aunt Sarah, she recorded herself reading The Night Before Christmas.

Rocky loved the wrapping paper!
Excited to get the final four Harry Potter movies on DVD.

My absolute favorite from this Christmas. Those eyebrows! He loves this microscope. Though I admit, we went a bit on the cheap side as he doesn't have the greatest track record for taking care of certain things. But this is a great introductory one and he spent hours this day playing with it and looking at all sorts of stuff. Maybe next year we will upgrade him to a better one.
Almost as excited for this Transformer, Grimlock.

Did I mention that Rocky loved the wrapping paper?

Finally wore himself out playing with it and decided to take a nap with it.

Let's not talk about our night in Salt Lake City. Don't ever go to Temple Square the Monday before Christmas to see the lights. Enough said.

Geddy took all these pictures of the lights. But it was so crowded. He and I got separated from Scott which caused some frustration on everyone's part. It was only for about 15 minutes, but enough to kind of spoil the night even more. The crowds were terrible. You couldn't stand still for a moment to reflect on the lights, and it was anything but peaceful.

Sleeping in Grandma Cheryl's basement. Geddy decided to make a fort to sleep in on this pile of mattresses.

He slept here most nights.

Found an alien cat thing in his stocking Christmas morning.

Overjoyed to get the DS game he has been wanting for ages, Harry Potter Lego years 5-7. He even kissed it a few times.

He asked for a hoodie without a zipper, preferably black but any color as long as it wasn't a girl color. I think he's happy.

Not sure what this face is from, probably the Thrills gum Santa put in his stocking - it kind of tastes like soap.

Fun with the alien cat he named Lanky.

Looking at the gift we made for Aunt Shauna, a photo book from our trip to the aquarium when they were here this summer.

See what I mean, it's an alien.

Excited for the Ghostbusters Lego set from Uncle Mark.

Reunion time. Rocky really was ecstatic to see all of us, especially Geddy, when we got home. He doesn't necessarily look it in this picture, but it took me about an hour or so to dig out the camera so he was about done with Geddy snuggles at this point.
