Easter

His bunny face and ears from Macey's Easter Hunt. The look is how he thinks bunnies look - quiet, not happy.
Scott thought it a good idea to take a picture of me with Geddy. Yippee!!

Just another cute bunny face.
In his room checking out his loot from Macey's.

Saturday morning. Not so sure about the Egg "Grab" Hunt at Wal-Mart.
I tried following the rules and staying behind the line, but I wasn't about to have Geddy miss out on it since we had been there so long. The three eggs right in front of him are the only eggs he got in the actual "hunt". Too many pushy parents and older kids (1-5 year-olds, whatever!) meant there was nothing left in thirty seconds. Geddy got quite separated from me in the throng of aggressive parents. When I finally spotted him he was bawling. Apparently he had found other eggs but someone had taken them out of his basket. Sneaky mom came up with a plan and we waited until people had settled down and thinned out. Then I told Geddy to look under the pallets (it was in the garden center). Sure enough, he found three more pushed under displays. He told me it was a lot more fun to find the ones actually hidden then the ones just laying around that people were grabbing. He also informed me that he never wanted to do anything like that again! I was glad because I was afraid he would get upset if I told him the same thing.

Excited Easter boy!
Having fun finding the three dozen eggs the Easter Bunny hid for him. Combination of real eggs, candy-filled plastic eggs, and empty plastic eggs from his collection.

Water guns, just what I have been wanting!

Easter is officially his third favorite holiday - Halloween and Christmas being better. He does appreciate the true reason for celebrating Easter as well. He loved the music and lessons at Church about the Resurrection. He enjoyed reading the story as well as watching a cartoon depicting the Easter story. We are thankful that it isn't all about the candy for him.

Snooty cat that wanted to be in the middle of the egg hunt.

Getting ready to attack the camera (and me) because he just really wasn't in the mood for getting his picture taken.

Geddy has a way better Easter bunny than his cousins do...his cousins' Easter bunny only hid 13 eggs. Next year we'll have to tell him/her that we need more eggs. Glad that he ended up having fun.
